Your medieval games AI is destroyed

by Chris ex combat arms · May 13, 2019

For example , In Agincourt once the first 5 French horse unites are destroyed by English bow, no further French units deploy/attack. Even though there is a script that says the next battle is attacking. This behavior is repeated in War of the Roses etc. There is a fundamental degradation in the playability of these games. Please undo the “upgrade” ASAP.

A little test maybe ??

These people really need to maybe test their product before it's released . The crashes and AI that doesn't recognize when you've won is getting rather tiring .

Solid Game

Apart from some imbalanced missions like Valmont Pt.2, the game is pretty fair for both sides, and can be quite challenging at times. This game demonstrates asymmetrical warfare on a medieval scale, with the English dominating at ranged battle while the French have significantly more powerful infantry at their disposal. My only gripe would be that there’s not very many missions compared to some of Hex’s larger projects. I’d like to see maybe the Carolinian phase of the war as well, as well as maybe some naval battles too. Overall though, quite a decent game in spite of its flaws.

2 Player

I love your game, 5 stars. But please make a 2 player, I would pay 5 dollars for it. Also I think light infantry archers should not shoot as well as the longbow men do. Great game. Also I cannot purchase the new Loire Campaign, please fix this.

Poor scenario balance early on blocks progress

by Docstens · October 26, 2015

Playing through on normal, but reached scenario Auberoche. Many attempts: failure. Oh, well, I'll wimp out and play on "casual". Nope, multiple attempts and failure. Not well-balanced at all, which ruins enjoyment. I cannot recommend this version.

AI needs fixed

Agree with other reviewers there are problems with the AI. Your battle progression as the English will stop at Auberoche as the AI doesn't recognize victory.

Great game critism is harsh

I love this game yes the missions are difficult but they are not impossible I have beat every one this game is not a good one to start playing hex war games with but still a great game

Not worth it

by Cautca · November 13, 2015

Why should I have to win each battle before I can move on to the next one? I paid for a certain number of battles, I should be able to play them all win or lose. No more Hexwar games for me.
