The game plays well except for the fact that the dice rolls are not random. During the match when there is only one possible dice roll for your opponent to get in order to advance against you 75% of the time or more they will roll that combination. If you're getting Apple Arcade only to play this game I suggest not doing it.

When playing solo, it seems AI gets too many rolls that are just right for it. It’s nevertheless fun playing against AI. I play at HARD level.

The algorithm gives the computer component lots of double rolls over and over. It’s not mathematically possible for two humans playing together, for one person to get strings of double number rolls, days and days in a row. I was enjoying it! Then just like with other games in the Apple Arcade, the opponent to the algorithm is left facing impossible computer odds. 5 doubles for the computer to my 2, game after game?? I saw this with a card game too. The computer was dealt these unbelievable hands over and over. No one wants to constantly lose.

Best without all the nonsense. But the roll of the dice seems off. Who gets double 5’s 3-4 times back to back. Happens here 🤨

Sooooo worth it compared to the totally free games!<br/><br/>An “undo” button is essential and not all of them have the option. <br/><br/>The 3 modes (easy/medium/hard) are allowing me to challenge myself as I develop my skills. So far medium/hard modes aren’t predictable like other free games.<br/><br/>The AI hint feature is really neat - it showed me how to split doubles in a way I wouldn’t have thought of!<br/><br/>Haven’t tried it yet but I love the ability to play against other humans and friends.

I really wish these backgammon games were even remotely random<br/>Dice. It becomes apparent that when one gets the upper hand - the game dice magically roles exactly what it needs to gain back, catch up or even surpass.<br/><br/>The developer would tell you the dice are random. If my luck was as good as these dice when rolling for the computer - I would win every lottery I ever played and the developers would tell me “yup, it’s a fair roll”.
