8 of 25I would give more stars if the developers would add the ability to resume a game after a phone call. Please. Is it too mich to ask? Had a nice game going and lost it because i received a phone call.
I've been enjoying playing the backgammon part of this app, but lately it doesn't load - the dice spin and spin, then the app jumps back to the iphone home screen.

When it's working it's great, but now? not so much.
I find that when you use the light bulb to give you a hint as towards your next move, "the hint" will not help you win the game, unlike "ichess lite". Instead the hints you get will ultimaly lead to checkmate. What is the point...if you can't beat the computer, additionally the pieces are very hard to put your finger on and move when in 3D mode. Lastly, I have a 3GS!
Don't buy!!! This game cheats."Hints" don't help you learn game, they put computer at advantage. And 'stalemate' somehow happens whenever you get significant advantage... Does not do as claimed. Don't buy!!! And negative stars if I could...
Running this on a 1G ipod touch is a miserable experience. Buttons that give UI feedback that they were clicked will sometimes have no effect (you have a 50/50 shot). Trying to move a piece is painful. I'll select a piece and a good 90% of the time it won't go where I want or it will simply be deselected.
You guys have obviously gotten lazy. I can't remember the last time this game had an update. And you're still charging $4.99 for it. Enable Retina Display, add new Themes, SOMETHING. You apparently made some money and now you're just sitting back. Pathetic.
I am trying to learn chess and the learning curve on this one is a to steep. I have yet to win a single game on the begginer level.
They advertise Chess Classics as a multilevel chess program with a database of classic games. This is wrong. It is a lie: the interface is garbage, the program is a weak, and the classic game collection consists of one (yes, 1) very old, very short game. Once you're done with that, just to add insult to injury, it has links to their website, so you can give them more of your money. Honestly and truly. This program is trash--an insult to your intelligence and a waste of your money. You've been warned.
