Thanks for "updating" this rather expensive product to the point of uselessness. I loved this app, but it's been weeks like this without a fix. Unacceptable.

Worth the money, although I think $20 would be a bit more reasonable. This is an excellent dictionary, though. I like the History tab as you have instant access to your most recent searches. Also, the audio is clear and loud enough. A couple of requests: 1) Please continue to add voice pronunciations 2) If you could add the letters of the alphabet vertically down the search page, it would really be helpful. I know we can place a letter in the search and that works but it would be an additional help to just have the letters there. What I'm talking about is similar to the way Apple does the Contact lists on the iPhone. There's both a search box and the vertical alphabet. Thanks for a very useful tool! I love it!

Won't work on my new iPhone. Disappointing after several years on my old iTouch. The dictionary with data is present but the display of words doesn't load properly.

The translation page is now populated with 30-50 lines of code, at the very bottom of which is the actual translation. This is very annoying and time consuming. This used to be an excellent product, but needs fixing badly.

This is simply the best of the lot of dictionary apps. All I know is the english-french one. I used to use it on my old win mobile phone, where I also had Ultralingua and Lingvosoft eng-fr dictionaries. The Lingvosoft one rotted in my opinion, the definitions were feeble and the speaking voice to pronounce the words was a robot. You'll get a great accent that way! Lingvosoft was a waste of money, I never used it. The win mo Ultralingua I did use, but I did not buy it again when I changed to iPhone. The dictionary was OK, not spectacular, and I liked the verb conjugations and translation to written number from input number (good for writing checks). However, it lacks a sound module. On balance, similar price as Slovoed but Slovoed much more featured.<br/><br/>Bref, Slovoed is the only one of that lot of dicos that I re-bought for iPhone. Yes it's not a $0.79 app, but if you want something good, just buy a good one and stop complaining. I got the deluxe eng-fr with sound module, like I had on win mo, and never regretted. It's basically the same app as win mo deluxe one, although the interface works better b/c it's iPhone. The definitions are superior to anything I've seen in any dictionary app for any platform - detailed, many fine shades of meaning, also a lot of slang and common use so you don't say the wrong thing. Sound module is excellent, I don't know what % of words have sound, but seems like most b/c I very rarely find a word that doesn't have a pronunciation. The sounds are local so don't need internet. I also have Larousse eng-fr, its defintions are way less detailed than Slovoed but I use it for simple things, but the sounds require internet. Larousse also lacks definitions for some words, I have never found this for Slovoed, which is therefore more complete IMO.

Update:Thanks for updating this app, the audio is now functioning properly. Response from Dev and Apple is appreciated. No audio since firmware update 3.0-3.1. Contacted tech support in Moscow and I was told that v2.2 would fix this, but the problem is Apple has not approved the update. This is a very nice app when it works and I hope the problem gets resolved. It would be nice if the app had a landscape view.
