Excellent dictionary to have at your fingertips

Overall generally good dictionary. However with a PhD I do not need ‘word of the day’ and cannot figure out how to get rid of it.

Love it, use it frequently. I used the print version years ago for TOEFL.

Oxford dictionary is the best, no doubts about it.<br/>I am rating the app as a program, no the dictionary.<br/>I bought this app years ago. Then I got a new iPhone and I downloaded in it (the app). I am having a problem where I can’t use it when I am off line nor when I am connected to the internet. <br/>This is really upsetting because I used to use it a lot and now I can’t from this device. <br/>And yes, I did got to options and pressed the option to be able to use it off line — It did not work.

After the American Heritage iOS dictionary crashed and burned I looked for a quality replacement. After a couple of experiments with others, I came upon the Collins dictionary. Its intuitive interface takes you to authoritative information. So my search has a very happy ending. It is my go-to dictionary, used throughout every day.

I like it a lot. Easy to understand.
