8 of 25I have a couple of sudoku apps on my iPhone but after installing this one on my iPad I will probably delete the ones from the iPhone and install this. I find this a pleasure to play and easy to use .... I don't think it can get any better, plain and simple with great options.
Since I updated to the newest version, I have been unable to use Puzzle of the Day feature and I find it hard to believe that they would release an update without testing it throughly with 3.1 as well as 4.0.
People have posted reviews saying the "Puzzle of the Day" does not work after the upgrade. It works fine for me. My only problem with this sudoku is that the hints they give are sometimes incomprehensible. "Some of the candidates are all in a line." I can see that, but not what to do with them!
This app used to be great until they made puzzle of the day unavailable. Also, the same game for Palm Treo has one higher level; why isn't that included in the iPhone app?
This, IMHO, is by far the very best Sudoku app on in iTunes. I am fairly new to Sudoku and I wanted an app that had beginner puzzles to expert / challenging puzzles. I have tried Sudoku before but never got the hang of it. I love Sudoku now....because of this app. Astraware games are always top notch. And this is no expception. I have not had any issues with buttons, tabs, small screen, grids......all works perfectly. Love the colors too. The tutorial alone is worth the price for this app. I needed someone or something to guide me step by step and then offer challenges. This is great for newbies, like me, to those who are more expert.
Overall very good. On the iPhone, it's too easy to brush the hint button. There should be a way to disable it. The iPad does not have the same problem since the buttons are at the top of the screen.
Was a great game with daily downloads, but they stopped. Why? I'll upgrade the rating again when the downloads resume.
Love it when it works, but lately all it does is crash. I finish the puzzle of the day, record my score, and when I select the next one it crashes.
