Brain Tutor 3D

Similar to the iPod app where you can pull down to reveal a search bar.

This is a really cool ap. I would recommend it to my friends. Thanks for thinking in such a scientific way.

$3 for the add-ons is well worth it, and provides lots of extra hi-res detail.

Although it could have more information available (like the brainstem, for example), as it is now, it is the best app for studying the anatomy of the brain and the 3D structures inside. <br/>The new update lets you have much more control over the MRI images, which links both 3D reasoning and 2D representations much better. <br/>That being said, I would love to see more structures and details.

I thought this app could help me review for an anatomy test but it is missing the diencephalon, which includes the hypothalamus, cerebellum, medulla oblongata and other very important parts of the brain. Also it is only anatomy and includes no functions.

The for the axial slices, the exposed brain should be shown from the bottom and not the top as to give you true anatomic position as one would see on an actual MRI or CT.

Overall, a slick interface. Very cool to have 3D model AND 2D slices in all planes. Would be much more useful if popup labels would appear in images. <br/><br/>Lots of potential to put most atlasas to shame if the info is flushed out (vasculature, basal ganglia, limbic system, hypo&amp;thalamus, midbrain, brainstem, tracts). <br/><br/>Would be cool to add 3D models of vessels reconstructed from angios and slices based on gross sections photos in addition to MRI.

I have always been interested in anatomy but this has made learning about the brain so much easier and now i just love to play with it. This App is such a great learning tool. I think that they should make this type of things for all types of the body.
