Not Bad

by Kirizan · July 22, 2010

This app isn't bad, but I was hoping I could create folders that are password locked, like the note taker I use on my iTouch. This app will sit on the shelf till I can do that. Other wise it does everything promised.

It's ok, I guess...

Waste of money. Not worth $5. Maybe $1 or free. It's not any easier to email notes than just sending an email from your iPhone. Picture emails from the iPhone email is easier than using this app. Even just emailing a note from the iPhone note app only takes 1 click. <br/>I got this to be able to print from the iPhone at work and at home. You have to have your computer on and have the software installed too. You can't just find the printer on the network or find your wireless printer and print straight from the phone. It has to print thru the program. It is simple enough to use, just not worth it, IMO. <br/>Do yourself a favor and try a free app. Better off just emailing yourself a note that you need to print and then open it on the computer to print it.

Very Happy

Had some problems making it print correctly. Sent a message to EuroSmartz and got immediadte response which corrected this. Problem fixed. This good service may make me buy their PrintCentral.

Auto correction DOES NOT work. Folder wirhin folders feature works well

by Leonardo09 · September 18, 2009

I purchased this application for taking notes at meetings and file them in appropriate folders.. The ability to create folders within folders is a very nice feature and works well, however the autocorrection does NOT making the overall experience of the app quite frustrating. I don't find the note to printer feature particularly useful..

Good features, great support, needs tweaks

by 4Staceala · October 8, 2010

Noteprinter has excellent features: formatted text, inclusion of photos, and note encryption. The note encryption itself is worth the price of admission. I was worried that it was some stupid proprietary algorithm or ROT13 or XOR or other goofy transform, but when I pushed support to disclose what they use, they said, &quot;NotePrinter uses AES128 encryption to encrypt secure notes.&quot; Good deal. <br/><br/>The support is quicker than I've ever experinced with an iPhone app. And, they actually give detailed answers instead of blowing you off. When they don't yet support something, they give it to you straight. <br/><br/>They do need to tweak this app a bit, though. Apparently, to support custom dictionaries, they use their own autocorrect instead of the built-in iPhone correction. Bad idea to mandate this: it has the effect of slowing the app down and making Bluetooth keyboards completely useless. That's a serious flaw: any note taking app really needs to support an external keyboard. The funny part is, turning off the autocorrect doesn't solve the problem, perhaps because the input is still being handled in a different way. I would imagine if they had an option for &quot;standard iPhone input,&quot; that it would solve the issue. Let's hope they address the slowness and Bluetooth problems in the next rev.

Glaring problems

by Alpha_Trion · June 15, 2009

Sure, it's a pretty good way to create notes on your iPhone or iPod Touch but the very fact that you cannot export these files as a text file is crazy. Don't bother investing too much time in this app. I created over 30 large documents and now will have to email them to myself and copy the contents into a workable filetype!! Plus these features/functions are needed -Difficult highlighting text without the magnifying glass pop-up -Auto spell-check that actually works!! On the positive side it's easy to manage files and folders plus a snap to copy files FROM my computers and to print. In all I'd say if at only a dollar it's not bad. I plan on using this till DataViz releases Docs2Go for the iPhone next month.
