Superb app!

The best third party app for last.fm by far! It works flawlessly on iOS 4. Worth buying!

A great scrobbler

I thought since no one wrote a review for this yet, i'd tell people it's totally worth the 5 bucks. I've been wanting some kind of way to scrobble my music to Last.Fm on the go, and this does exactly what it says. Be forewarned, you do not use the iPod in your Touch/iPhone because for the app to scrobble it must be open, i do think they are submitting to apple to be able to do that though. I have no problem with this, as far as i can tell it doesn't drain the battery like crazy. Some advice to the Devs would be maybe a more attractive app picture, the ability to scrobble even when the app isn't loaded (and be able to use the normal iPod and just set the app up to scrobble automatically). Also the music player is a tad cluttered, but everything you want is there (artist info, you can love tracks, shuffle, repeat all the stuff your used to seeing on your iPod. Hell there's even lyrics for every song!) Overall i really love this app and am looking forward to updates!

app is crap

I regret ever buying this piece of trash. it's slow and doesn't do anything it's suppose to. if I could give it -5 stars I would.

Does what it says and does it well

Amazing

This app is amazing. I am obsessed with scrobbling my tracks to last.fm and this app is definitely reliable in doing so. Best app hands down for iPod/iPhone!

Does what it

The good: This app scrobbles plays from your iPod app. It even scrobbles what you've played in your iPod app when this app isn't open. It does these things reliably.

The extremely irritating: After you sync (or really, after you change anything at all about your library, including rating songs in the iPod app!), the app needs to "rebuild its cache." I have Around 3800 songs on my phone, so this takes a good few minutes. It prompts you whether you want to do this, but if you say no it appears to do it anyway and just won't scrobble anything. The latest version allows you to suppress those messages, but in effect that's like always pressing NO on the rebuild cache message, which means the app essentially becomes useless.

The mildly irritating: When you switch to the app (and you haven't changed anything about your library), it scans EVERY SINGLE TRACK to see if it has been played recently. While this takes less time than caching all 3800 tracks, it can take up to two minutes.

I want to love this app, but its technical architecture has a MASSIVE negative impact on its user experience. If this were a $2 or $3 app I wouldn't care so much, but I forked over $7 for this app that makes me feel like I'm being punished for using it. I actually feel pretty ripped off.

The best at what it does

iScrobble is the best last.fm client in the app store, so I'm giving it 4 stars. I wanted an iPod app that scrobbles and this is the closest thing I could find. It's not quite as user friendly as the iPod app, but it's pretty close. It's a bit pricey though.

Very cool app.
Needs to be able to show info for songs playing from shared iTunes library. Just shows blank page.
Beautiful looking and super cool integration with iPod transport controls.
A few tweaks and support for shared iTunes and this is five stars!
