XM SkyDock

Here's the deal, for a radio it's ok but it could be so much better. For instance the failure that is the lynx had a hard drive, you have a hard drive on your phone and podcast are very popular. Why not incorporate the two with dmr and allow people to download the shows to the hard drive just like you did with the lynx. That way you could listen to shows offline on your own time and you wouldn't have to put out another dumb radio that that your not going to validate the warranty on. Also they could use a another 24 presets buttons, it's unacceptable to have 100's of channels and only 12 presets. This would make this product indispensable, as it is it's just a dock for the radio.

All empty.... Is it an app?

This used to be a great product, but then they gave up on it. With the upgrade to iOS8, tagging and receiving alerts when an artist/song plays has stopped working completely. Alerts just simply don’t pop up anymore. You hear the sound, and then the app freezes and you can’t press any buttons. Unfortunately, this was my favorite feature. Sad, because this still could have been a great app if they just paid a little attention to it.

We’ve had a sirius subscription for years and really enjoyed the skydock for use in our older cars. Recently, I put the iPod into the dock and started the app. Music began playing, but the iPod kept going back to its home screen. I can listen to the one station I just happened to be playing when this issue cropped up. I get no information on artist, song, et cetera, or the ability to change stations. Is this a common bug anyone else has experienced? I have really liked the system up to now. I still enjoy it, but now I have only the one sirius/XM radio station in my old car. That’s a little disappointing, to say the least.

Needs to be updated! Please update!

I love this app and the accompanying skydock, but please it needs an update so bad! It isn't optimized for newer iPhones and has a few bugs that are just plain annoying.

Still works great with latest hardware. You can find a new Sky Dock on eBay for $10 plus you'll need a 30 pin to lightning adaptor but it works if you are like me and this setup just works well

I think the app could be a bit more elegant, but can't complain too much. I can take it in various vehicles and no expensive installations required. I can't get the screen to orient in landscape however, but only mildly annoying.
