Разработчики шантажируют пользователей!!

Разработчики обнаглели окончательно и теперь шантажирую пользователей тем что удалят приложение из аппстор!
Если они удалят приложение я принципиально не куплю третью версию!!! Я перейду на day one!

Love it

This is a password protected journal app that looks great, is functional, and simple. It's exactly what I need.

Disappointed in the Developers

by Deeashley · February 26, 2016

11-15 Supplemental:
***
I love Momento and I've even volunteered as a beta tester for this app. In many ways, it's been an integral part of my daily life since 2010. However, I'm disappointed in the company's decision to abandon this app in the manner that they have chosen. Momento has been such a large enough part of my daily life that I would happily support the developer financially in a variety of ways, including new (as in a new concept, not simply a new update/version that's made into a new app) and innovative products. Another profitable alternative lies within the in-app purchase (although my least favorite for some similar reasons), if done correctly and sparingly.
I'm not convinced that this decision was as nefarious as many reviews make it out to be, but this questionable move on the part of the developer certainly provides an opening for some speculation on this company's ethics and motivations.
Lots of developers have managed to create newer, independent, paid apps in a manner that didn't call their standards of practice into question. I think the difference here is that:
1. This company has provided a long term service in the form of an app that they are now abandoning completely. This decision has effectively cut them off from a huge portion of their loyal and longtime customers, which seems extremely shortsighted (and feels very shady and greedy to those aforementioned customers).
2. They are offering this "Classic," version for free, while creating a newer, paid version. This, in and of itself is fine, but they have further estranged themselves from their loyal base by basically making us feel "ripped off," by having to pay twice for an app that newer (non-loyal) customers get to enjoy for free! This issue could have been significantly helped by at least providing an incentive or a discount for those of us that have invested in this company - most of us for several years now. A company should work to show their customers that loyalty pays off rather than making it feel like a punishment.
Obviously, the financial investments for users of this app are very small, almost insignificant in the grand scheme of things. However, the actions of the Momento developers feel a bit like a betrayal, thus making the two or three dollars already invested worth a lot more in a relative sense.
It's not about the three dollars for me to buy the newer, "Momento 3." It's about my inability to trust that the developer won't decide to repeat this action in a couple years and abandon yet another app that I have grown very attached to. This app has taken on a life of its own in my world. I have, in a way, created a personal attachment that makes the app "more than the sum of its parts." It's my journal! It has feelings, media, memories, and all the things that make up my life. What these developers have failed to acknowledge, is that by abandoning this program, they are insulting that which has become sacred to many of us over the years. It's not just your typical app, it is extremely personal and important to many of us. I think the developers have underestimated the emotive power behind their own app.
Because of this, I am not planning on purchasing the newer version at this time. I need to feel like I can trust the company backing this particular type of app more than any other, and this company has not demonstrated the transparency and loyalty appreciation that I had been used to from them in the past.
In summary, I think this is the worst marketing decision they could have made.
(Updated 11/29/15)
Respectfully,
One of your beta testers - DAH
