Horrible app

Horrible and buggy app interface. Need to call and wait on hold to get anything done

The worst banking app out there

by Please be very careful · August 10, 2023

Half my transaction don’t appear on the app. Another 30% of my transactions show up and then disappear with no explanation! And when I call the customer support rep they say they can’t see anything on their end either 🤦🏽‍♂️. Also it takes forever for this stupid app to update transactions, FOREVER! And then when it goes through it ends up under the wrong date. I got something refunded on Tuesday and it’s showing up under Monday in their system (not as a refund as a charged transaction) I suggest keeping all of your receipts till you are 100% positive that the right transaction has gone through, how incompetent do you have to be as a financial institution that you can’t get the dates right and are putting the burden on the customer to ensure your doing your jobs right. Complete and absolute idiots, whoever is in charge (please fire the team or person in charge and spend a little money on bringing a competent person on board) of their app is a complete imbecile. The bank is okay but the app is made by dummies. I don’t like asking for people to be fired but the app team needs to go, the app is a joke

The CIBC app does not even let me sign in to my account. If I try with my actual info, it says my info isn’t correct so I try to reset my password in which I always get the pop up “an unexpected error had occurred, try again later” but it never works. I can’t even move on to step 2 of 3 of restarting my password. Nothing I do works for this app.

your updates messed up the cross border transfer

Useless

by VaughtOPC · October 28, 2025

I stated in the most recent app of this as they have two identical and the newer one was updated yesterday. Oh and the original app was down for maintenance OCT 24-27 2025 and now is non functional I guess. Unable to access both these two newer platforms due to an error after I complete my credentials and it wants you make a new password. This just may be the reason the leave this bank other than limited locations.

Current version faulty (wring amounts)

by TotallyFairAndBalanced · June 23, 2023

Used to like the app, but this version has introduced a major error: whenever I try to transfer funds, instead of the amount I enter, it wants to transfer 100x the amount, e.g. CAD 68.20 turns into CAD 6820.00 in the confirmation box. Watch out!
Even knowing about this and being careful, it is now impossible to transfer anything below CAD 100.00. Please fix this asap.
(I thought it might be an issue of my main keyboard being non-English and using a comma instead of a dot for a decimal point, but switching that hasn’t helped.)

Not sure what’s new in the updated app?
