Needs work

by Paintdv · August 15, 2012

Not saving rates for resources or costs for projects and tasks.

Seems to have incorrect date as well, for example it says I entered info on December 25, but it is August 14.

Three stars because it looks promising, not there yet.

Good app

Nice!
Only one problem so far...how do I undo/redo?

No help at all from customer support

by Mistaken123 · June 29, 2013

The customer support is atrocious. I ran the trial version Projector on my macbook pro. I thought it was OK. I thought I bought it so I could print the many projects I began. The name changed to xPlan, after clicking buy on a very confusing website It was no where to be found. I now have an iPad only version and I contacted their customer support asking for help in getting the "right" version. They have been rude and unwilling to help in any way. In fact, the messages have been hostile and they keep coming. Their knowledge of customer service is non-existent. Stay away from this vendor!

Arrogance = Incompetence

For a long time, I noticed that adnX is always almost bullying or at the limit of the insult when you contact them for tech support (check their forums). I never saw that level of arrogance from any other company.
Problems are mainly: you (don’t know how to use) or Apple (iCloud is not reliable), etc…
xPlan for iPad stopped seing iCloud documents, but the Mac version still works. Why? They tell you that “iCloud is not reliable, and never was… complain to Apple not us”.

Don’t buy it, even with a Black Friday price, it’s not worth the price.

good stuff! keep updating!

Has potential but hard to use

by Q99213 · February 10, 2013

I've been a PM for almost a decade. I bought this when I bought an iPad to help make my projects easier to outline. Unfortunately, there are just too many little nuances that make this difficult to use. I spent more time trying to add a task with a start and end date than I probably would have completing the task. Once the task is complete, it's not very intuitive to change any information about it. I was hoping not to have to shell out the kind of money for OmniPlan, but I may just have to do that. :(

Somewhat Glitchy and lacking

by videopro21 · January 31, 2014

I just built a 3 month production campaign gantt chart on the iPad xPlan App. I have a good understanding of what this is capable of.

Glitchy Things:
- Bottom most tasks is not able to be moved up into another process.
- With larger Gantt charts tasks, milestones, and links start disappearing. They are still there. They just aren't viewable without a project reload.
- Really needs the ability to add an item anywhere in the chart. Currently I have to add a task and press then drag it all the way up the list to where I need it. Total time waster.
- Seems to hang when moving and resizing a task.

Things Missing:
- Needs a syncing feature. Really really badly needs sync. iCloud and Dropbox
would be amazing.
- Needs iOS 7 makeover. Some of the glitchy aspects are due to the lack of and update. Example: When the on screen menu comes up a blurry transparent iOS style accidentally appears behind it. I say accidentally because it doesn't look like it should be there. It looks like a block.
- A feature that translates tasks and milestones to a specified calendar on the device or google calendar. So much easier to share the dates with a group.
- A much better, more thought out, projects start page (landing page). Better UI
