Question Builder for iPad

Excellent design. Built in reinforcement. Immediate feedback. This app does everything right. My child will attend to it for 20 questions. He does it independently. Quite a feat for an autistic child. I love seeing him have success and feel he can learn so much using this.

I love all the mobile education apps :) They have helped my children soo much!!!

I am a speech pathologist working with preschoolers. The app is suited to the elementary school kids due to the reading involved. It worked well with the preschoolers once I adapted it to my needs. I had to be a bit more lenient in accepting answers, which made the scoring tool less helpful. Unfortunately, they did not it if I read the answer choices to them... too much overload. The pictures are great with just the right amount of distracting elements to work with those kids who do not focus on the question being asked, but rather on other parts of the picture. It allowed me to focus them and work toward decreasing tangential answers. I would have given 5 stars, but I did not love the verbal and picture reinforcements.

This is a great app. I work with students that are hard of hearing and students with multiple disabilities. The best feature for me is the data keeping feature. I like that you can what type of questions you can work on. It is an easy app to use that doesnt require prep time. The reward features are entertaining. This is a fun app that helps my students work on this skill. My students choose To play this app over over wh question card games.

Great app! My son's Speech Therapist recommended this to help him use more words in communicating. <br/>We already had been using other Mobile Education apps like Question Builder and Language Builder and have found this <br/>one to be just as helpful.

This app is great for answering questions, but also, working on answering in a complete sentence. I agree with one of the other reviews in that this app requires you to pay attention to the question to make sure you answer appropriately. One in particular is a picture of a girl and a snowman and the question is, &quot;What are the snowman's arms made of?&quot; So many kids automatically say snow and I have to remind them to listen and I repeat the question. After that they do a much better job of listening and focusing on what exactly was asked. It would be nice for non readers if like in Conversation Builder Teen you had a way to hear each sentence by pressing a button. I understand that would be a lot of work so it may not be possible or at least not happen for some time. Also, two things I noticed in the What section, the girl looks like she is wearing a pink dress not a red dress as the answer states and the girl in the wheelchair picture has the answer of &quot;There is a piano is in front of her&quot;. Overall, I really like this app. Any chance for when and who to be added?

I have used this app very successfully with my 3rd graders and 2nd graders diagnosed with learning disabilities. We do a mini-lesson about the different type of question words they'll see: how, why, when, where, what. They practice reading through the answers. I would like for the app to also have the ability to read the answers aloud, because the question is read aloud. As an added bonus, the fun character who pops up once the student gets the answer correct encourages the student and gives them a laugh! I have noticed a few glitches when the student does choose the correct answer and the app tells them to keep trying. It doesn't happen all the time.

My students enjoy playing Question Builder! The pictures hold their attention and they enjoy the sometimes silly reinforcements. As an SLP, I like having the ability to track their progress and make sure they are at the correct level. Not only does this app help them with answering questions, it also is helping with listening and reading.
