Raindrops for iPad

This app has a very similar flavor to Smule Magic Piano. They both have only one sound, piano, but that is where the similarities end. <br/><br/>The big difference is...<br/><br/>1. Very limited range (usually only about an octave or so)<br/>2. This app only has one mode... Rain drop mode, so you are constantly trying to make music with a delay. Hit - wait - sound (just like releasing raindrop)<br/>3. Only one sound, but multiple shaped rain drops... At first glance I figured each shape would give you different sound/voice. This is not the case.<br/><br/>Some recommendations... If nothing else, add a couple more settings to allow sound change. Allow the user to assign different sounds to each shape? I would also recommend allowing the user to turn off the delay. Expand the range. <br/><br/>The interface is pretty good, but the overall experience isn't worth the price.

I could not understand how to get the Internet ensemble to work. Maybe there are not enough other users. No documentation on the website.

This app is strangely calming and relaxing. It seems simple, but it sucked me in. A fun toy that creates rainy day music.

There is a significant delay between when you touch the screen and when the note plays, perhaps to give the application time to do a silly shape animation. I find the shape animation uncompelling, and the delay makes the application basically non-functional. Very disappointing.

This app has a wonderful essential idea, but it needs more sounds. There's all these options on the sidebar, but so far as I can tell, they do nothing. It would be nice to be able to change the sounds from just piano to things like orchestras and bells and such. The multi-touch needs some touch ups as well. Other than that, this looks like the start of a very good app!

I love music, I studied it in college, and I've always dreamed of making music with something like this. This is so futuristic it's neat! The different modes are really interesting, but updating it with various instruments, even vocals that can be arranged into different keys would be fantastic! I would pay good money for those sorts of updates!

This has been great fun - just figuring out the vocal range and the placement of different tones - and then going whirly-crazy. a thought - could you make the lower left cloud go away? I'd rather move it in with the set up choices in the lower right - more like playing on a blank canvas
