8 of 25love the game but it randomly stopped loading today. it gets to the screen that says let's golf then goes back to iPad home screen. fix please
If there was 2 player vs. On the same iPad. None of my friends have an iPad and there is never anyone to player in the online mode. PLEASE ADD 2 player on the same iPad!
Most current bug sees you lose connection almost immediately after beginning a game in multi-player mode...don't bother going to the Gameloft page for support as there is none. Doing a search for the term "support" on their page yields exactly 0, i.e. Zero, results.

What a waste of a good game....
First off I got the game when it was on sale for a buck. If I were reviewing it based on that amount, I would rate it 5.

I have to consider, though, for other potential buyer's sake, the "retail" of $4.99. For that it's easily a three star app.

Like other reviewers before me, the physics are extremely frustrating. There is no guide to help you know what kind of effect the spin you're putting on the ball will have. It's basically a learn as you go process. That would be fine, except the game is so unbelievably inconsistent with the ball physics!

In single player career mode, you play one of 8 characters, each with their own strong pints as relates to abilities. After I reached the highest level with one character, I wanted to progress through the rest. Only thing is, the game never tells you what tournaments each respective character has played in/won (or top three). If you have played a tournament and won with any character, it displays a medal next to that tourney in the menu selection. So now I'm stuck with a few players at level 24 because I can't keep track of which ones they've already done! Wasted hours playing tournaments only to reach the end and find I have already played with that character, no level up points, wasted time.

UPDATE: So after resetting my profile to get the character I wanted to be at level 25, I got online to play someone else. The game froze midway through, forcing me to quit the app.

After relaunching and going back to online mode, my character has been reset to the level of my last opponent, complete with his customizations. This is just ridiculous, now I will have to reset my profile once again!

Gameloft, get your lazy act straight.
This isn't your advanced golf game folks! It's cartoon characters. It reminds me of the Hot Shots Golf game on consoles. It's a fun little golf game with great multiplayer (haven't tried yet) and career mode where you gain levels improving your character, plus unlock outfits and golf items that give you greater advantages. It's not the advanced golf simulator, but it's a nice, fun, RELAXED golf experience.

THE GOOD:

-I like the feature where you can spin the ball mid-flight to create spin when the ball bounces. This lets you increase the distance of your shots, make them stick in place when they land, or make the ball curve after the first bounce. Most golf games make you select this before you hit the ball, but it's more fun doing it mid flight so that you can get a little bit extra advantage in the game.
-Graphics are great
-You unlock characters and items pretty quickly.
-Golf shots are pretty easy to make so it keeps the game fun.
-Leveling up characters gives a nice add-on to the game (I probably wouldn't play it as much without this mode).
-Difficulty is pretty easy so it's much better than actually getting out there on the course yourself or trying to play a traditional golf simulation game.
-Holes play fairly quickly so you can move between different places in a short amount of time.

THE NOT SO GOOD:

-I haven't run into the issues with club selection yet (haven't paid that close of attention). The automatically selected club has been right on when what I've needed in the 2 courses I've played so far.
-You can't create your own character (I like to do that and then level them up).
-Your profile name is limited to a certain number of characters (I can't have my regular profile name I use in other games).
-Putting may be just a bit TOO easy?
-I haven't seen a difficulty selector so most of the time I shoot way ahead of the competition in match play.
DON'T buy this game, check out the other BIG DOLLAR golf games with Cleaner reviews. Let's Golf has so many flaws that even when you have practiced feeling you've got it figured out, the flaws with drive you crazy and take your -7 round into the toilet by non player effected problems.
* On the English course 2 holes force you into using a 9 iron or pitching wedge when your 150-180 yards from the hole, if you club up to a 3 wood or a 3 or 4 iron to go the distance, no matter you will only gain 4 or 5 yards for doing so. In a real game you go for the hole in this game you have to use the club they choose for you. #17 is the worst, #8 is also bad. The Mexican course has 4 holes like this, he Greek course has 4, and the Knya course has 5.
* You have 2 ways to determine how much power to give to a shot. Putts have a blue dot, the closest you come to covering the dot with the red dot meaning the power you actually apply means how close you come to the hole. BUT, the game doesn't move the blue dot when the slope is up or down. If you apply the force your are given, you'll only get halfway to the hole if the slope is UP. If the slope is DOWN you'll go twice the needed distance meaning you end up as far away from the hole in the other direction as you were to begin with.
The graphics are great, the detail is tremendous and very creative, all that means nothing when the game is unplayable and frustrating. The problem with Let's Golf is similar to all corporate developed games, great graphics but garbage pail playability.
It fails to use Game Center.
They basically ruined it for playing with friends. Had a blast with the first version playing friends on same device, but now only multiple player is on 2 iPads. Pretty stupid. Don't waste your money.
