Good for free

Minor errors...Mercury can't set at an azimuth of 10 degrees for my location. Adjustable solar system is nice. Unique control placement. Has potential...

It's useful

It's useful to help me to know the sky at night. Esepically open the navigation tool.

Don't mind what those morons say this app is great! Ya just got to play around with some buttons first , just point at what your looking at through your iPhone at is shows exzactly what constellations and stars are in front of :)

Navigation does not work

by Tdinmich · January 8, 2011

I have the IPhone 4 and I cannot get the navigation to work. My gps and compass apps work fine, but iStar does not seem to care where I point the phone. I've played with the navigation feature, but that also doesn't work. Very poor help files also. I'm very disappointed.

Not a point and name

Downloaded it while camping to name some stars, but it does not do the normal point and name gps style I was hoping for. For someone looking for a simple app to name stars this is not it.

Best astronomy app I've seen

This app has me excited about stars and planets. Within a minute or two, I figured out how to find the constellations and planets. Excellent nav and powerful settings. You can display outline of the constellations, show full text, or just the sky. There is even a setting to display the meteors. I'm a scouter and will use this app to inspire others about the amazing universe. Thank You.

Has potential

Used it twice now and has worked fine. Ive played with all the options and everything works. If it could track satellites I would give it a 5
