8 of 13It would be nice to actually strum the chord with your finger, except for that it is a very good guitar app.
Installed both this and the Guitar Scales app on my iPad from the same developer. The graphics for both are not formatted for the screen properly. Restarted my iPad, deleted and reinstalled both apps with the same result. So far, a waste $8.00 for both apps. Hope they get this fixed. I have installed literally hundreds of apps on my iPad and iPhone, and this is the first one that simply didn't work the way it should have.
This is a good app but would be a great app if they added slash chords. Love the ability to listen to the different voicings.
and I like this app. The user interface is well done and fairly intuitive. The sample sounds are a bit more electronic than I like to hear, but more than acceptable for an app in this price range. Touching the note to hear that note is a nice touch. I hope future versions include ability to strum on fingerboard in addition to touching the current "Strum" icon. App is a good value at $3.99, especially for those just learning to play the guitar. I gave it 4 stars, because there's room for improvement, but believe the app is good enough to warrant your consideration. It's worth it!
I was challenged by a friend to learn more chords and not just skip the obscure ones I came across, and this seems to indeed be the ultimate resource.<br/><br/>I would love to see a couple things in an update: make the finger number/note name button a toggle; somehow allow for displays of "X/Y#" type chords. Perhaps the player should just figure out the best way to form these chords, but it would be nice to see the variations possible for changing the root note of the chord.<br/><br/>Thanks for a great resource, definitely recommend.
A good chord reference to take on the road. Like the fact that feature updates/improvements have been frequent so far. Shows a nice, welcome commitment to making it a better app.
Won't work on an iPad Air 2. Note that it hasn't been updated since 2010.
Just downloaded and I like what I see so far especially the ease to select chords at the top of screen. If I had to say anything negative it would be that I would expect to have the option of viewing the note intervals instead of names or fingers which is more obvious. Maybe next version.
