Trying to find local hiking and dog groups in meetups. Set filters to in person and within 25 miles. Typed in what I was looking for. Got everything but and most were online and a lot were 150 miles away. Set my location and made sure it was on. Waste of time trying to find local groups.
Use to be great, but like everyone has mentioned this app has been on a steady decline, in organization, and navigation. Every update feels like an attempt to squeeze as much money from the user.
I love this app and use it often. It’s a great tool to take an idea and bring it to life with an audience or a others who want to join in. But the amount of scammers with “now hiring” posts is out of control. I click “report” and nothing happens. I end up blocking that account. I wish the developers would address these fake accounts with keywords or whatever you do. It’s taking away from the good of the app.
People very disrespectful
I downloaded the app and did the 7 days trial. I canceled before the trial ending and still they charged me $9.99 dollars. Stay away from even trying it. The amount is not refundable. Apple Pay refuses to refund the amount despite the fact I cancel before trial ending. Bad business practice.
This app could be great, but every year we’ve used meetup we’ve been charged 20-40% more than the previous year. This year? $310. For an app that is barely functional. The improvements made havnt been a huge improvement at all, just more subscription based bs. It’s buggy, doesn’t load, doesn’t save changes, is clunky. Needs to be better for $300 a year. Will be canceling this year.
