8 of 25Was a great app but after 8.1.2 update, no longer works on iPhone or iPad. Just freezes at select dictionary page. Version 2 doesn’t work either (no databases to download appear) and developers website has disappeared.

Does not work, at all!
After about a year and a half of craping all over their customers, Avocado Hills appears to have "fixed things". I have an iPad generation 3, 64 GB version WiFi only and am running ios 9.2. I was able to download the English version (about 4.5 gigs) with no problems! It took about an hour. It's running pretty smooth. Hope this helps. Today is 8/19/16.
This app does not allow me to access my databases (that I paid for). It now no longer works.<br/><br/>I will be uninstalling it. It’s too bad, as it was a fine app for the few months in which it worked.
I have tried every version of this program and have tried writing the "Outfit" who made this application and they don't respond. Please note the *** in the paragraph below. This is what happened to me. Look at the other reviewers opinions and take heed. ALL OF THE APPLICATIONS THAT THIS OUTFIT MAKES WILL NOT DOWNLOAD THE DATABASES PAID FOR. They are now pushing a NEW Wiki program on their website. I clicked the GET IT NOW button and discovered that it is another version that I already purchased sometime ago. Guess what? It won't download the promised database, not even Simple English. Personally, I am going to see if Apple will remove Avocado Hills from the Store. <br/><br/> Please join us in getting rid of worthless scammers in the Apple Store?<br/><br/>***Be careful not to complain too much as the will cut you off. It happened to me the day after I complained about nag-screens. The next day, my program stopped working. I downloaded version 2 and found even more problems. See my rating there and note the "36 years remaining in download time."
I purchased this app and it does not have any databases to download. I talked with Apple about this to no avail - they were surprisingly unhelpful, and did not seem at all perturbed that a scam app is on their apple-approved App Store. So the only thing I can do to help is to write this review to NOT purchase this. Yes, I have tried umpteen times to contact Avocado Hills, and they do not respond. Please beware of potential scam and stay away from this.
