Ebook Reader

Purchased a book from ebook.com assuming that the file will be easily opened in a modern ebook reader that allows easy adjustments to font size etc. Turns out that the purchase can be read on the iphone only on the ebook app which is the worst reader there is. The font size of the main text does not adjust. Reading is difficult. The scrolling is downwards with chapter and sideways chapter to chapter. Reading is an unpleasant experience. I had to re-purchase the book from Amazon- kindle app works perfectly. Stay away from ebook.com, is a waste of money.

I find it amazing that despite complaints years ago, the font choices are still "too big" and "too small". And it's still impossible to turn off full justification. Definitely not buying another book for it.

Great if you enjoy misformatted text and a line cut off the top of each page. It’s like guessing what you’re reading after you already paid. This is a waste of pixels.

This is a great way to support small businesses, anti Amazon. However, the app could use a couple improvements.

This app is from 2010 it seems and it only allows you to read from their old app. I wanted to use this app and download the EPUB to my iPhone so I can use the Apple Books app but it forces you to use their old app. <br/><br/>Find another option.

I got this to try to use my iPad like a kindle for one of my text books for grad school. Can I read the book I bought? Yes. Did it save me money? Yes. Do I have to change chapters every time I turn a page if I want to highlight anything on the new page? Also yes. The zoom in feature only works on certain pages as well. I waste a good bit of time just messing with the features trying to get it to do what I want. The search feature takes you to the beginning of the chapter the word/words are in so you still have to hunt for them. And your highlights don’t sync with the web version so it’s not great if you’re trying to access a text across multiple platforms. Likely won’t buy a book on here again.

Are you looking for an app to read PDFs and e-books quickly, easily, and seamlessly? Then keep looking, this won’t do it unless you something up for an account login and purchase all of your reading material through a site that you have no idea about. No thanks. Ewww

Format options are limited to font and size. No margins. No columns. No white space. And you have to swipe to advance the page. No tap on the margin. And not a little swipe, either. I can’t tell you how much I hate the DRM liars at ebooks.com right now for forcing this reader on me.
