8 of 25I was contemplating whether to buy social or friendly. I made the wrong choice, should have bought friendly instead. And friendly was cheaper too!
I had a hard time logging in, had to do it twice every time and most of the time I can't log in! Once I was able to log in,the whole 3 times, It won't show the news feed! It required you to choose which friends you want to keep track of and i tried to select all my friends but it wont let me go beyond alphabet A. A complete disappointment! Do not buy! Thank god I only wasted 1.99!
Update: This app is starting to bother me. It is barely worth my while now. It is just showing me the online version on this app. The chat NEVER works and uploading pictures is a pain. They really could make this better with poke and tagging in posts and of course fixing the problems that are already in the app. I must commend them on their EXCELLENT customer service. That is probably one of the only things that keeps me using this app and giving it 3 stars, because I know the creators will fix problems if you tell them. App could get MUCH better, but I will hold onto it until the next update and decide what to do then.......
This app is very very slow and sluggish. I have to wait for everything i click on nto load at least 5-10 secs which gets very annoying. Sometimes it will not even load. Crashes. Buggy. Im a machine and like to navigate with ease. This frustrates me. Pease enhance loading times and i will re-evaluate my review.
Does what it wants when it wants, have not been able to access it for 2 days, crashes, won't open , hate it!!!!! Have been very disappointed in the consistency of iPad apps, especially social networking apps, people say the iPad is just a big iPhone or iPod touch, I say it's not as good as either one.
Get some of the other facebook apps for iPad first. This one is unstable. You can select your favorites, like the app for iPhone, which makes it easy to see what your favorite folks are up too. BUT when you click on them from favorites icon.... You get everybody. Now that isn't good. Issues also on notices, doesn't take you to the post that houses the notice.

So...this app is far from ready for iPad use. Do waste the money on this one.
Pirice dropped to .99 so I bought it. I should have just waited for the official FB app as planned. This app still doesn't allow you to change your profile pic. For some reason, just like the web version, the cropping tool that you have to use isn't functional. I was hoping this app would work properly. Some parts are better than the website, others are equal ( equally good and bad).
So this app is pretty good.not too many problems. The obvious one is videos not playing. But I'm also getting a glitch where the new feed won't load. The other thing Is that chat doesn't connect sometimes but I get it's a beta. No biggy. Just fix the videos and that news feed glitch, and you get 5 stars!
I cant view any videos cuz its flash player n its not installed or trusted with the apple community. They need to fix that pronto! I hav to go to safari on facebook to view videos. Lame! Other than that, im glad i can upload photos crop n tag.
