Really not as good as the first

by Blummer · April 15, 2013

The first Hybrid was a really pleasant surprise...a fun combat system and a kooky but heartwarming story that made me wanna keep playing. This one, not so much. The game has gotten bigger, and there are now towns, more characters, and many more maps. But everything seems watered down as well. I preferred the first game which just had a small cast of central characters and a world map instead of this one, which has a lot of senseless grinding as you travel between locations. This game also doesn't have the grade system from the first, which was a great incentive to keep battling and improve your skills. Without any grade system, the constant battles get tedious very quickly. Also the story isn't as good as the first, Grey isn't nearly as likeable. Overall you can probably skip this one...I don't know if I will finish it or not.

I beat the game and I love it! Gamevil, if you don't make a hybrid 3 I will fall into a state of depression.

Ammazing game but....

I loved this game absolutely Loved it, great story amazing characters as well as cool graphics. I love both games but i found this one a lot better than the first. However, for more the game seems to be to slow and something about it makes grey move really slow. Despite that I love this game and I really really REALLY hope there will be a third one. XD

Great game but story a bit choppy

Great sequel to the first in terms of gameplay. The story is really choppily written/translated though compared to the first. Still good but because of mistakes in grammar and such it was not as enjoyable as the first.

Hoping the next installment will bring back both the awesome and clear story as well as the great action of the gameplay.
