Just what I was looking for!

by Tryupcook · October 20, 2011

My 5 year old is hard to teach addition and subtraction to, he wants to memorize instead of learn the concept. This app is making a difference, it IS simple...that's why it works for him. The other apps were too advanced for a beginner or only taught counting, which he is already good at. If you want your pre-schooler to learn simple math, I recommend this app.

Awesome value for 2.5 yr old!

This is the first digital game my 2.5 year-old daughter played and she enjoyed it for almost two hours after we played it together for 30 minutes. There's a lot of learning fun for a free game and it does a good job introducing early math concepts along with color identification. There are different areas of math concepts and different difficulty levels so if your child is proficient in one area but needs practice in another, the difficulty level can be adjusted for each concept area. Awesome and educational app! Thank you!

Not Impressed!

Dreadful. Short, repetitive and totally lacking in creativity. As a teacher and parent of children in the target age group, I suggest parents skip this one. I am very disappointed as I expected more from this developer.

2 year old loves it

This and angry birds are his favorite apps. He's really learning the math with this. He loves the positive reinforcement, the ducks going down the slide, and the mice on the seesaw. He loves the dog the most.

Not usable on my iPad mini

No matter what we do the game auto rotate's to the non-landscape mode and we cannot see half of the game.

Multiple touch

The answers are one out of three choices. My 4 year old just presses each answer until he gets it correct, no learning necessary. What a waste of money.

"Fun," but not the best

by ashleylagrow11 · October 21, 2013

This app may look entertaining and fun for young children, but those are its only true function. Looking at this app from an educational standpoint, it falls a little short. Adding an assessment section in which a parent or teacher can view their child's current standings and progress would be extremely helpful. Upon start-up, the app also needs instructions. Even as a teacher, I was very confused on how to start the app and how to play some activities. The menu icons (the kites) are also confusing and a bit misleading. I also wish the app had more controls than just "Level 1, 2, 3." The app contains good concepts to be worked on, but they need to be touched upon in a better way.
