The best astronomy app.

by SozC24 · May 25, 2026

This is one of the best ways to explore space, right at your fingertips. There’s no ads! You can explore, look at stars even during the broad daylight, you can find your favorite space objects, you can read information on rocket bodies, you can view planet alignments, you can even look at constellations, and an image of something, which, is supposed to resemble the constellations of which you are looking at. I never even knew that Orion was a constellation, therefore that Betelgeuse was within the constellation of Orion. I could not have guessed that Orion was a constellation, and Betelgeuse was a star inside Orion, was even a thing. That’s why I love Skyview. This is my favorite educational app I have ever downloaded. You can learn about ANYTHING about space, and watch the sky. I am telling you, Skyview is one of the best apps ever. You can view all of your favorite stars, galaxies, nebulae, planets, constellations, even literal rockets and satellites. I love that when the camera is off, the background looks, fantastic! I love how you can learn something by every tap. Find a star, tap it, and watch how all this information pops up. The name, its precise location and where it is going, and a cool fun fact.
Observe. Observe the true nature of this app.
Skyview is awesome.
How many times did I say this apps name?

Satellites.

I used to be able to see all the satellites on this app with my old phone. I redownloaded this app and still have satellites enabled but absolutely nothing pops up. Disappointing..

Never should have purchased - Satellite database bug

by TimDier · March 10, 2026

I loved the SkyView Lite app. I have been using it for many years, and I decided that I should purchase the full product to show my appreciation. After installation, all satellite data is gone - zero, none. It used to show the ISS. I futzed around. There is no way to restore purchases - only an option to purchase the SkyView Satellite Guide. Ok, I'll pay a little more to get the additional satellite data. However, satellites still do not show int he SkyView app. Hence my 1 star rating. I will leave it there until the publisher provides a solution.
--timdier

Fun for the curious!

I just love this app (started w lite and upgraded). I enjoy locating the planets and familiar constellations with the soothing (almost meditative) music. I find the amount of space junk fascinating and amazed at the number of satellites. (Locating the Hubble and International Space Styis pretty cool too) It’s fun for me (a grandma) and think kiddos would love it too.

Awful

Quit working

by ottoball · March 12, 2026

My SkyView quit working and wants me to enter in a hardware code. Submitted a request for help with no reply. Avoid and find another app that has good support.

Where’s Starlink satellites?

by MaybeApptastic · March 6, 2026

Amazing app in all aspects. I recently got Starlink & thought to try to find them with the app but they don’t show up. Can they be added?

Missing satellites

by RandyAChamp · April 6, 2026

I’ve had the free version for a long time, and decided to get the full version for more things. But with the full version it says you can see the satellites like the ISS. It doesn’t let me see the ISS which is the main reason I got the app.
