Dinosaur Chess: Learn to Play!

It looks like a fun app and a good lesson plan to learn how to play chess. The audio is not working on my iPhone that is why I have to give it this rating.

I always wanted to play chess when I was younger, but thanks to this app I learned to play it! I teaches you very well and I love it! I totally recommend this app.

It’s been more than 10 years and still issues with the audio !! Wow.. tried all their recommendations to fix the audio but no luck.. the last step says email the developer.. who is the developer.. it would be nice if an email id is also mentioned. Would rate negative stars.. but that’s not an option !!

Trying to teach myself to play. It's a great concept but there are glitches; occasionally a piece disappears for no reason and I just ran into one situation that changed a pawn into a knight randomly. For the developers, I've experienced these issues in the level 3 play. Not sure if it continues in other levels.

I bought it for my daughter. She's already got some of the basics downbeat ore this app. This will move her forward, but the app crashes after each Chess Game. No apps paused in background. Reboot does not help either. Does not record the win, loss, or draw. --iPad 4 on iOS 7

As a kid I always wanted to learn chess and no one would teach me. When I had kids I decided I would make sure my kids would learn. I got the app hoping it could make it fun for them to learn, and found it made it fun for me as well. The games,when learning how to move the pieces, reinforce the material, and aids the learning process. Multiple levels of games help to build confidence to play a "real" game. My son 7 now loves chess and belongs to a club, and we play a game nightly. Thanks for teaching me later in life and giving my son and I new activity to bond over.

The sound doesn’t work in iPhone<br/>This is a rip off

I am very disappointed that the audio on the app has not been fixed. When I bought I read reviews from April mentioning audio problems. I foolishly assumed they would be fixed. Six months later the audio is still not working- at least for the iPad. <br/><br/>It is a shame because otherwise this would be a good app for young kids interested in chess. Unless your child is a very proficient reader, this is not the app for you. Even then the explanations require a functioning audio in order to be understood. <br/><br/>Sadly, I recommend avoiding this app until the audio is fixed.
