LS9 StageMix

This has been an amazing app until we up graded to iOS5. Not it simply will not connect. I am hopeful for an update - we can't live without it!!

Love this app! Would like to see panning added, but still awesome!

App is fairly good. Still got room for improvement. Biggest problem is no HA adjust. There is no access to racks 1-8. You can control fx volume and amount. Real time levels for all channels is great. Its a good solid app just needs a touch more to make it awesome. Minor problems 48v, stereo mono select and pan control are not available.

You can not view the custom fader page. This is critical for what we use our LS-9 32 for. You also can not edit dynamics.

I finally got a chance to work on a Yamaha digital console this weekend and jumped at the chance to use this app that has been installed on my iPad for months. I was already very familiar with it, having been &quot;wowed&quot; by the offline demo. <br/><br/>Our FOH mix position was about 50' from the stage, but over in the corner of the room, about 25' left of the stage right line array. A terrible place to mix from. However, using StageMix I was able to run up front and mix the entire show from the sweet spot. Not only could I actually hear my mix, I was also able to pick up stage cues easier without having to rely on intercom. <br/><br/>The ability to tune monitors from the stage using this app is absolutely incredible. This is a whole new way to work in professional audio and I really hope to have to chance to work wi this software again. After a few more test runs, I could see myself keeping FOH console backstage and running the entire show from the iPad. This would cut down our FOH footprint exponentially, and might give us a chance to be placed in an ideal mixing position. <br/><br/>I can't recommend this enough. You'll geek out, as I have done for the past 3 days.

I love this thing! Two wishes pan control and dynamics control, then I would propose.

We use the app just about every day, and we are REALLY REALLY wishing that there was access to the channel compressors (at least threshold and metering). Access to the effects units would be nice too. <br/><br/>Otherwise the app is great, just please give us access to the comps!!!

I play in a band and keep my iPad on stage to tweak the monitors when needed. Well, during a break, we had someone that was to perform a special number. When we rehursed, she used a mic that was labeled with white tape, when she got on stage to perform, she grabbed the mic with yellow tape, which was muted. I was in the front row and imediately saw she grabbed wrong mic. The FOH guy didn't pick up on it and thoght he had her mic muted. I just happened to have my iPad with me, and quickly grabbed grabbed hold of the FOH mix with and turned her mic on just before she started to sing.<br/><br/>After the set, the FOH guy said, I knew exactly what was going on when I saw that mic channel come on and the fader start to come up. Lucky break.<br/><br/>Bottom line is, if you have an LS9 or M7, you have to buy yourself and iPad and get this app. It's off the charts cool, and adds flexibility to the LS9 that I can't imagine being without!
