8 of 20iSub is the single most-used app on my iPhone, by a wide, wide margin. With the upgrades in version 3.1, it's absolutely lapping the competition. Attractive interface, powerful feature-set (the customizable EQ feature is a killer), and (combined with Subsonic, of course), simply the greatest thing to happen to music in a long time. I have close to a terabyte of music, and iSub handles it like a champ - whether streaming over wi-fi to my stereo at home, or over 3/4G while I'm out bopping around the city. I can hardly believe how much time I used to waste, loading up my phone with the music I thought I might want to listen to at some point over the next week or two - now I don't have to make that decision. Oh, and did I mention it now supports video streaming?! Unsane.

The developer is highly engaged, and extremely responsive - he takes user feedback and incorporates it into updates, and he's even helped me directly over email with questions I had on earlier versions.

Simply put, this is a phenomenal app. If you love music and you're not using Subsonic, you should be (admittedly, there's a learning curve involved in setting it up, but the best things in life are rarely easy). And if you ARE using Subsonic, and have an iSomething - you need iSub. It will literally change the way you listen to music.
This was my favorite app. I just upgraded to ios 8.1.1 and now the app instantly crashes. I own the paid version via upgrade so thats why it makes me review this here under the free version. I know the developer was kind enough to update the app to work with 8.0 and 8.1 but if they are still is out there i hope they might consider tweaking the app just to make it ios 8.1.1 compatible so that we may continue to use our subsonic servers with the new iphone 6 or with older equipment that has been upgraded to the latest version of ios 8.1.1 Like others have posted i would have no problem paying u for your time via a app upgrade if thats what it would take to get the app fixed. If not i would hope that perhaps the app code could be made available to another party in the public domain who would have the ability to fix it so that the developers legacy and this fantastic app can live on. So many apps are just garbage. This app was truly revolutionary and a real game changer and it would be very sad to see the developers work die now and his such wonderful work be forgotten.
Love this app, wish the developer wasn't going away.
Both the free and paid version of this app will not launch on iOS8 and according to the developer they will never be updated to be compatible. Waste of $4.99 and was a bad app to begin with. Put up with it for years, finally have an excuse to go buy a different subsonic streaming app.
Why can't they just make it easy?
I have been using this for quite some time. I got the free version but unlocked all features within. Since iOS 8 was released I have daily checked for this update and my morning commutes have been far less enjoyable. Thanks to the creator for updating even after he officially took a leave from this app.
This version says it fixed iOS 8 crash. Still crashes upon loading on my iPhone 6+.
This is a great app for people with large libraries. It's fast, and it does what it claims to do. If you can get subsonic running on your network, this app is terrific.
