Scheduling Interface is a nightmare

by BE7 · July 3, 2026

The scheduling interface is one of the worst UIs I’ve ever seen…

Great control

This connection is an awesome tool to control home temps during the day or night

Inadequate

by Miles9951 · June 22, 2026

Trane home is inadequate in every sense of the way.
#1 Trane does not support their own equipment or phone app.
#2 they pawn you off to the installers who have no ability to help you with the app.
#3 you have no (actual) ability to program and control your heat pump from your phone as the app does not reconnect unless you (refresh) the connection. I have had my heat pump for 3 months and it has been the worst decision I have made in 10 years

Needs improvement

by JS1063 · June 12, 2026

For setting your temperature remotely, it is fine. My biggest complaint is that it does not always send a system alert to your phone when there is a problem. You still have to check your installed thermostat manually to make sure that there is no problem with the unit. Twice now I have had problems that weren’t caught until the temperature became noticeably hotter. If the app had notified me of the error code, I could have scheduled service sooner.

Functionality used to be better

limited access to settings such as current fan speed. Used to have access to compare usage year over year, that’s now gone.

Doesn’t hold temp well

by Twinsweetie · July 10, 2026

I have the HVAC system set on a hold at 72 degrees and the system allows the temp to go up to 76 degrees before it kicks back on to cool the house down. I would like that to hold closer to 72 not 76. Not impressed. I will never recommend this to anyone.
