Opposites Fun Deck

Love your apps and thank you for making your price 1.99! It's very cool to be able to use the card decks or the iPad in therapy with your amazing products.

I like most of the fun decks but I rely on the auto score if I need to divide my time between 2 students. On this one, even if a kiddo randomly and rapidly hits the favored button ( only the right hand choice) they still get 50%. I do like the graphics and the product, just wish there were a way it could be more random. I do realize with opposites it may be difficult to do that.

As an elementary school English as a second language teacher, I love Super Duper Fun Decks. Pictures are an indispensable tool for learning language. The pictures in this Fun Deck are a springboard for language production and comprehension. Teachers can use the images in conjunction with a sentence frame in order to structure and extend the students' responses. Since this fun deck can automatically correct a response, students can play the game independently with partners. Or, I can project the game from the iPad onto a screen and we play as a whole group. In whole group playing, student partners confer with each other and write their answers on a small white board. I award points for the correct answer AND for the partners explaining why they made the answer choice. Playing whole group or in a small group with the teacher has the advantage of greater metacognition as students have to explain their thinking. Playing independently in small partner groups has students go through the questions and answers more quickly and has the advantage of giving students more opportunities to respond. The app provides instant feedback, letting the students know if they've answered correctly. It also keeps score so teachers can monitor their students' progress. This means that the teacher is not the lynchpin holding the students' attention and collecting data. The colorful app keeps the students engaged and learning!

Very disappointed that l wasted my money. Is presented as fill I'm the blank where child names attributes. Child never has to say opposite, just name attribute for picture shown.
