Can’t run anything before paying

by Juhbvccgb · November 27, 2020

The program is completely worthless unless you’re ready to pay for the privilege of actually running your script. It starts you with 0 compilations available. What a joke.

Pretty weak

This is pretty far from anything resembling perl. It actually runs on a remote server somewhere? Lol.

Useless without extra purchase.

by Nilloc · January 19, 2014

Would be at least better to have 1-10 compilations available to see if it really works for the tasks I need. Without that it's useless.

Works, but limitations.

Works fine. Uses online compiler, so it needs internet access to work. <br/>No easy way to share code between devices.

Don't bother

Have to buy &quot;compiles&quot; for an interpreted language? Useless...

Don't waste your time

Just a front end for you to purchase.

Review for PERL

by Eprogrammer · February 25, 2014

I am really happy to have found this app. The ability to edit my PERL program code when away from my computer is really good and I will make use of it often. <br/>It requires that I set up the input in advance of running the program and that is a little bit inconvenient but I can work with that ok.

Not bad for a first attempt...

First, I want to say THANKS. I have been looking for a Perl scripting/programming tool for the iPad/iPod since the generation 1 iPod Touch arrived, and here it is... so, thanks. I look forward to improvements.<br/><br/>I would like to see improvements to the file system interface, perhaps a directory manager to manage Perl programs and their files. I have not yet tried any file i/o, but my first look didn't find great tools for managing my own .pl files let alone Perl program created files.<br/><br/>It is slow; don't expect fast runtimes. I can live with this, as my primary reason for wanting to do Perl on the iPad is for entertainment value on long flights.<br/><br/>I would LOVE some form of Dropbox integration so that Perl programs and files written on my Macs and PCs can be shared/sync'd with my iPad whenever I am within range of a data link (WIFI for me).<br/><br/>Again, I look forward to seeing a version 2, so keep at it.
