Even if the sounds alias at very high octaves unlike Nave, there is barely anything that prevents this from being a great synth app. Although I used to wish for a classic/lofi mode (you can fake it with Ring Modulation and a bypass filter), I realized that this is not in fact supposed to be a PPG emulation or successor. This app is Mr. Palm's reimagining of wavetable synthesis from 21st century light. While Wavemapper and Infinite techinicaly sounds superior, the two-page interface and modulation and articulation of Wavegenerator are criminally overlooked. Did you know that this is one of the first apps to support the Linnstrument? Did you know that this is also one of the first apps to have audio unit support? Also thanks to Wavemapper and Audioshare, I have made Wavemapper a supersynth! I have proven that not only Wavegenerator can make modern PPG sounds, but it can also do FM, D50, and even Isao Tomita style sounds. Just be careful of how you use the aliasing. You can even make it sound like an Amiga sampler!

Sounds very rich, still learning to use this. For me, this is the least intuitive ios synth I own. I keep coming back for more though to teach myself this system because it sounds amazing.

I can't believe this app is almost last on charts for pay music apps. This is an amazing app. It gives you so many abilities to manipulate wave patterns and re engineer sound. One of my go to apps!

Its UI is certainly different, and may take some getting used to. There is a lot of power "under the hood" and overall its a very capable and good sounding synth.

The sound is phenomenal, the UI is an absolute joy, and the feature of converting a photo into a waveform is just plain fun. it is a real testament to Wolfgang and his entire team in how they were able to pull this much power out of an iPad. Thank you so much for creating this app.

Love the sounds don't have a clue what I'm doing but just moving things in GUI makes for interesting sounds the guys a genius but it's not rubbing off. Some day I'll look into it more deeply but now it's just fun and good sounds

Yes, it sounds great. But the UI is awful. Ugly, awkward, dated.<br/>Extremely disappointing to see this complex and deep and wonderful sounding synth succumb to graphic hideousness and unfriendly interface. It's over featured in areas that it need not be- there's an art to information and option access. Trying to do it all at once is NOT an efficient and friendly solution. Some of the complexity is ridiculous and subtracts from the experience. Yep- it sounds great. Yep- it is feature rich. Yep- it is robust and has a lot to offer in modeling, customizing, tweaking, routing, etc.. But- it is offered in a way that is overwhelming and clumsy. <br/><br/>This app is like going to a restaurant and the waiter asks you what size, color, shape, texture, material of the plate you want your meal on. Silliness that won't effect the taste of the meal, but will effect your overall experience as too muddied by too many choices that aren't critical. These choices could be background, leaving the primary experience cleaner. imho Animoog does it right- great balance of complexity, options, robust feature set, and visually organized and logically mapped UI. <br/><br/>For the price, the app should be fully realized, not just a techno wet dream, but a well balanced user experience.
