8 of 19Great port of the PSP games. Everything is there, controls are responsive, and finally an English translation. This is a great first step for Idolm@ster in the West. I would definitely like to see even more songs as reasonably priced DLC.
The game is very interesting and fun. If you think the price is to high and are expecting it to be released on a game system keep wishing! No one licenses japanese games because they know that a lot of Americans are not interested in these games. Companies focus on where they can gain profit and they are afraid of taking risks that will Lose them profit. This game will never be licensed unless they see the consumers needs for games like these. Buy it and be happy we at least get it as an app! It plays amazing plus it has other features.
Don't remove it. We love it!
I love Idolm@ster, and I was looking forward to getting this game because I don't have an XBox or PS. I am so happy this game is in English, but I was totally fooled by iTunes saying it was compatible with an iPod 4. It is not. So, if you want to get this game on an ipod 4, I would think again, and save your money. I just wasted 55 dollars on this game, only to find out I can't play it.
So, basically, amazing game, but iTunes you are a LIAR!!!
I am going to get down to the finer details that would help potential buyers decide.
There are 20 songs total.
There are "4" characters the game focus on.
This is an all music game. No management aspect

A bit on the expensive side but I bought this in hoping the actual games gets released.
Wonderful songs, and it comes with an Anime episode.
As a long time fan of Im@s, I'm very pleased to finally see any game hit the app store. Although, it's expensive, I come to realized this game was originally PSP version. It was still worth my money, and support.

I agreed with everything another reviewer, LupoMD said. One of the charms of Im@s is the songs sung by their original voices. (take note of their live concerts) I'm alright with the game being subtitled (reminds me of LL Idol Festival gameplay) since I prefer it. The game works liked a charm; no problems on my side. Thank you for the release, Bandai! I hope you continue more releases.
There is no excuse for how lazy this localization is. A fair number of the song titles (!) are still in Japanese kanji/kanas (all the song vocals are Japanese, but that's fine with me), there are only subtitles for the super-generic 30 minute opening animation (no dubbing), and the in-game translation is very spotty, and also has no dialogue dubbing at all. This is not a quality job, just a straight-up money grab from the people desperate enough to pay $50+ for the most basic, lame localization of a title many want here.

"Supporting" this by paying the asking ransom is a bad idea. It sends the message that they can push out any kind of lazy, sloppy, boring version of this Japanese series and stupid English speakers will buy it. Pass on all three of these poorly-localized versions and send the better message - do it right or don't do it at all. If these three were $10 or less, I might be more forgiving, but at the price of a premium retail packaged console game with a disc and a nice color manual, this is nothing but a huge ripoff. Shame on Namco for this sub-fan translation work at pro+ pricing.
