(View their online tutorials; it takes some practice to make full use of the app...unless you're an astrophysicist photographer! :) ) ORIGINAL This is the equivalent of a 3 person support team doing your research before a shoot! Packed with useful tools. Incredibly simple to use. Augments and competes for use against TPE. Looking for lens database to go with the extensive camera database, and a universal app to take advantage of the iPad layout.

For instance, if you’re aiming to photograph the moon directly behind the Statue of Liberty’s torch, PhotoPills can help you plan the shot. If you can conceive of it, PhotoPills will assist you in planning it.

This app is great if you dedicate lots of time and watch lots of videos. Otherwise, the steep learning curve will overwhelm the casual user.
