While not updated often, this has been my favorite streaming server & player combination for years. It’s trivial to setup and works very well for my video library.

Loved this app when it was supported but it's no longer maintained. The server app for Mac doesn't run natively on Apple Silicon and doesn't support some modern formats (eg h.265 encoding). The UI on the iOS/iPadOS side has developed some minor bugs but overall continues to work.<br/><br/>Existing users should be looking for alternatives and new users should not be spending money on a product that is destined to become increasingly broken by OS and hardware changes.

Seems to get more and more problematic without updates as the iOS updates age out this app. This app still works but is hanging on by it’s fingernails!

I heard that Apple was going to start removing apps which haven’t had recent (?) updates from their app store, regardless whether they work perfectly or not.<br/>Can you’re coders please do something minor, like adding words tomthe description or something, just to ensure Apple doesn’t remove this killer app. <br/>It always works, and works perfectly for my needs.<br/>Thanks

Been using this app since the beginning. Mark of a great app is you never really think about it, you just use it and it does what it is supposed to (novel thought). Doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, but it works as advertised and satisfies all my needs.

I love Air Video HD and I've been a user since before the &quot;HD&quot; revamp. The app is all but abandoned at this point with several crash bugs in the server and no support for H.265 video.<br/><br/>I am ok with the app not getting new features but the server crashes every time a client clicks an HEVC video!! If it could at least display an &quot;unsupported format&quot; message instead, that would be ok. But it doesn't, so I am rebooting the server daily. Devs are entirely unresponsive, won't open source the server. There are multiple freeze bugs in the client as well. The iPad client has invisible buttons that have been unfixed for 3 years. Full screen often freezes the playback app requiring a restart.<br/><br/>Caution to new buyers: This is a dead product.
