American Almanac 1

Maybe I’m wrong here but read this...The app doesn’t work at all...literally, it doesn’t work at all. Ok well it does open. When you open the app, right on the landing/splash page there is a message from Tod (that says he made a video game) with only the link on this page is to the supposed game. No icons work. I clicked on the link and yup, you guessed it. It took me to the game. I don’t know, maybe that’s what he’s actually doing...then I truly wish him the best. i have lived this app!! Totallly true. It just seems odd to just abandon a good app? If Tod’s reading this, I hope you will either keep it going...or sell it (or give it to me). I’m sure you can figure out how to contact me. PS: Almanac is one of my absolute favorite apps. I only give you 1-star in hopes that you’ll read this. Otherwise 7-stars out of 5. UPDATE: I updated the app and it’s perfect again.

Like the Old Farmers Almanac!

There is no explanation for this and if there is one in-app, I’m not able to get to it without enabling location services. I don’t like to turn it on unless there is a good reason. If the app needs to look up info based on location, can’t we enter that info in manually? I like to look up info about other places too anyway.<br/><br/>I know it’s kind of over the top to give this a one star because of that one reason, but this tiny thing is literally keeping me from checking out the rest of the app. As in, the pop-up won’t go away unless I have location services enabled.

I really appreciate this app, it’s so helpful! I’m going to use it every day.

My intent of this application is basically for redundancy and averaging. As an example I normally use several weather apps (minimum three) from different sources, then take an average of what the weather could potentially be. My intent was to do the same specifically for the weather almanac feature to best understand what the weather could be historically. Keep in mind, there is no exact science when it comes to predictability, so I am not judging this app on this. <br/><br/>* The application looks nice, but it's truoly a nice ported web interface design. The advantage is it's clean and easy to read, but the disadvantage is it's not good for power users who want a lot of information and quick navigation to get the data they need. <br/><br/>* The content is by far the &quot;most off&quot; of my two other weather almanacs I use, but that's the reason I have it. I need to get averages, so this is good.<br/><br/>* I do not like how you are either locked-in to their geo-location option or manual option. It should have an easy access &quot;geolocate&quot; me button like any other application out there. Also, the database of locations is restriced/limited to major cities only, which is a big shortcomming for me. I need to know by the city-level their recordered weather, not by the next major city, as any geological formations like foothills or bluffs can make difference. <br/><br/>Overall, this is an okay application, but the interface could be cleaned up or have better configurations to best customize for an individual. The data is questionable, but still usable (note: I have only been able to test the weather and not any other features). The location search with automatic and manual options is archaic and should be updated. It's not worth price/value for what you get. <br/><br/>I would think this would be more of a 99¢ app. That being said, I do not use this as a primary resource and used for averaging from differenct sources. I would not recommend this as a primary application and you would be better served with more sophiscated, customizable applciations and/or websites that do exactly the same thing. As stated, this &quot;okay&quot;, but not recommended.

Been acting pretty buggy lately, could use an update.

Have used this almanac since 2014. Tons of great info in a really fine interface. If the developer charged annually, I’d gladly pay. A fantastic almanac. Thank you Tod!<br/>And, thanks for swift fix for iOS 13.

Awesome app. I look everyday. However my weather no longer loads for a while now! Please fix.
