Calendars 5

Have used the app for quite a while, as do other family members. Easy to share calendars, enter events, color code items. The app needs improved location function--it's rather difficult to link mapping with events. It also needs a &quot;duplicate event&quot; function and easier to enter event repeat function. <br/><br/>The biggest hurdle is that it is not updated anymore, so we are searching for a calendar option that doesn’t demand subscription rates, or better put, slow blood sucking. I’m willing to purchase, but not month after month.

This was a great app that showed the entire month in a display but the developers decided to delete it for a paid subscription… guess I learned a lesson about paying for apps.

How do I migrate from my current Calendars 5 that I’ve had for years and years to your new Calendars? <br/><br/>You say to use the “smart wizard within the app” but where is the wizard and which app is it in? Please help!

I really like Calendars 5, but recently the app I paid for started nagging me about moving to Calendars, their subscription based app. This has forced me to uninstall Calendars 5 and just go back to the free, built-in calendar app, which has improved significantly since I first switched to the Readdle Calendars 5 app.

Calendars 5 provided an alternative to the iPhone version of the Google calendar … and that was all. Not sure about others, but I use the Google calendar directly when working on my PC. Realizing many considerations go into these decisions, I feel Readdle has made a misstep. Most folks will not convert over to a subscription based model when a free alternative is available, even if some functionality is lost. Sorry, Readdle, I cannot support this strategy, regardless of how much I have enjoyed your platform till now.

I have used Calendars 5 for years so I was sad to hear it will no longer be updated. That said, not going to move to yet another subscription base model when Apple default Calendar is just as good really.

I only use this calendar because it syncs so well with google and Apple calendars. Keeps my wife and I on the same page. Love it.

This good story ends with your new plans. Everyone has subscription fatigue. Thankfully, there are other options. Nice knowing you.
