iA Writer

The app has a very simple interface that allows you easily manage and view your writing projects and recover versions. A great app for professionals.

I am using Scrivener for organizing the memoir I’m writing, but it hasn’t been an easy app for me to write in. iA Writer is the easiest app I’ve found for writing, but its templates for printing are almost non-existent. The type sizes are too small and the margins are too wide. There is no way to reset margins, fonts, or type sizes within the app and the templates are difficult to change for non-technical users. I’m disappointed.

I have had this app for nearly thirteen years, it has been my indispensable writing companion that entire time. Indispensable to the point that I am unable to make the switch to android as this app is no longer supported there. I literally just got a new phone and it had to be an iPhone solely because of this app, that’s how much I love it. Every feature is useful, succinct and it’s worth every penny. I highly recommend!

I have used tod since it first hit the app store and love it. <br/><br/>It has the right amount of distraction free interface and functionally capabilities without having to menu drive for everything or click stuff out of your way.... and it saves the file as a common txt by default which is badly needed. AWESOME! 👍🔥

The writing itself is gorgeous, minimalist, and incredibly practical. I was very excited for iA to become my main drafting and freewriting tool. The only issue is that sometimes the app will delete chunks or text or lose documents (the titles appear but the content is gone or cannot be opened) if you are saving things to iCloud. I have tried a couple of different things with iCloud to fix this, but no luck. Of course this limits how useful it is, there is nothing the iA writer team can do about this, and I only mention this to other users so they can avoid losing a document in the first place. Just only use the sync features on copies of files that are otherwise stored directly on your device.

Always updates to keep Writer the best writing app! I’ve been using this app for years. Enjoy the simplicity of use.

Estupenda app sea que escribas o simplemente la uses para tus notas, fácil de usar aunque los cambios en la interfase son menos intuitivos. Pero igualmente muy buena. Tengo muchos años usándola.
