8 of 15If Disconnect has one problem it's that it's not always clear what's actually happening, but it IS working. How can you tell? After installing it, try to visit one of the URLs of one of the tracking companies it blocks, like Flurry, and the page won't load in Safari. The page looks like it can't find a server there. It can't because Disconnect has *disconnected* your device from sending any information to that sever. This works even inside apps, not just Safari.

The app installs a network profile on your iPhone or iPad that blocks connections to companies that try to track you. This company list (and the act of keeping it up to date) is what Disconnect the company does. Disconnect offers a different app that is a VPN, but that's not what this is. This is a customized network certificate. It's worth your $10.
So I download this app, it has no functionality whatsoever.

only asks user to purchase the premium, this is a waste of time
I would have paid more money for this app knowing what I know now. My bud has visited practically the identical sites, he doesn't have DISCONNECT but I do. His iPhone and identity have been repeatedly hack and I've been unscathed.
I love this app... 😘
I have tried this app and privacy pro. This is a good app but the malvertising packet is not a one time purchase. The packets installs through the profile but once you delete that packet you have to purchase another one. I made that mistake into thinking that purchasing that packet, I can reinstall whenever. I'd say the privacy is so much better
First of all what makes this app different from the other app made by Disconnect? Is this a VPN service? What is the VPN doing?

It does NOT hide ipv4 IP making this not much of a VPN at all.
Makes changes to ipv6?

Why are there 2 profiles?

What sets you apart from just using Ghostery's HTTP proxy? Seems this app does nothing but make you not able to use a solid VPN service coupled with ad protection on the local network level.

I use search.disconnect.me everyday and love the service. But this vague service is not for me.
Don't waste your time. Find a better software.
Never thought this type of privacy and security would be available on iOS. Wonderful app!
Can anyone prove that this is actually doing anything?
