Now just a greedy cash grab with bs accounts and all kinds of hoops and bloatware. The point of this app was to support old equipment to use as another monitor. They no longer do this. They completely lost their way. YOU EVEN NEED AN ACCOUNT FOR LOCAL WIRED CONNECTIONS NOW. Totally scummy.

Their ‘support’ is a useless AI that you will go back and forth with until eventually you might reach a person who will ignore everything you’ve said and then tell you there’s no longer support for older devices, which again defeats the entire original stated purpose of this app.

App no longer brings up IOS keyboard on IPad

by whatever_? · May 8, 2026

App is no longer bringing up an IOS keyboard, when I click on a windows 11 text box connecting from an Ipad. If this behavior continues, I will cancel plan and delete app. This behavior makes the Duet app pretty much useless. I have been successfully using the app for a long time, and it just started acting up.

Don’t buy this App!!!!! Terrible experience!!!!

If you want to save headaches and most important your Money look for other apps, Definitely not this one it’s not what it used to be….. I have been using Duet since 2017…BUT during this time they have changed their business operations multiple times and each time what supposed to be a permanent license turned out to be not true. I have had to pay multiple times for the “permanent “ license. A few weeks ago… the app stopped working I contacted their tech support. They asked me for proof of purchase for 2017 and 2023 since apparently my account had vanished from their database. Luckily I was able to find the 2017 receipt. But this did not stoped there, The next thing they told me is that is that I had to buy AGAIN a license for their wireless version to be able to use the app again…. and after this the communications stopped, they are no longer answering……. It a petty that what started as a great company ends ups in like this. A perfect way to lose customers… I’m looking for other options DON’T LOOSE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP

Vertical iPad as Second Monitor

by DaveS2424 · June 19, 2026

For the life of me I can’t figure out why Mac doesn’t allow vertical orientation for sidecar. No problem, I just use duet display. It allows me to use my iPad as second monitor in vertical orientation, and with good picture and no lag (I prefer wired connection). Works as advertised and the few bugs I had were fixed with a responsive support team. Thanks!

Just wow!

Add said three dollars a month, I got charged 36 and it won’t work between my ROG Xbox Ally X and my IPad Pro. Would not recommend.
