8 of 25Great app need more rock and metal songs and sabaton
I have an acoustic guitar and I am a beginner at playing guitar and this app was extremely helpful. It taught me a lot about how to play my guitar and how to hold it and how to tune it. It lets you pick music you like to practice with and it has a feature for you to play at your own pace. The only downside to this app is that you have to pay after about 10ish lessons. So it gives you a couple lessons to get you started off but then it makes you pay so don’t get this app if you want to pay but otherwise this app is pretty useful.
Not only did it not help with my guitar skills at all but not tune well but it also costs money for simple things like learning chords?! All you do for free is do little tabs for free and not the songs youd like either they pick not you. Trust me when i say that tabs and chords is SO much better they even have people record themselves if they want and post it so others can learn and they have every song you can think of! Not to mention they dont only teach guitarists!!
You guys removed a lot of the good bands and music from your platform. All of Metallica, AC/DC, etc. and you keep adding no name artists as a filler. You need to fix this before I cancel my subscription.
Edit 7/4/2026

Yousician just removed a HUGE amount of songs. They have moved into a direction for using Ai for songs instead of playing for licensing. (If you think $150 for a year was expensive get ready to pay more and for even less funding going to artists). No more Metallicia even they stared in a a commercial for Yousician. No more Bowie even though they added his songs less than a year ago. Don’t bother, unless you really like companies that screw over artists for Ai on your dime. Every change this company makes is worse and worse. It’s very sad to watch it destroy itself for corporate greed. Online forums assume in a year the app will be done and sold off so be careful which information and email you give to this app. Having this many songs removed after being on their app for years is a bad sign. A very bad sign.

(earlier review)

Yousician will have an extensive library for guitar, but bass players will have less songs available. The company knows you’re paying the same amount of money and will not care. It’s openly discussed in the social media group, that the company itself invites users to give feedback. No amount of emails you send will matter, the company will just thank you for the ‘feedback’. They will keep providing a lesser customer service experience while ripping you off. I will never forgive them for adding my favorite band only for guitar when I’ve been using the app for 137 weeks.
I like it it helps me learn music and it’s super easy
