I'm enjoying the new AIM, and understand it will take time to work out a few more bugs with it. It has really come a long way in the past few months. I have been an AOL / AIM user since 1995 and drifted away somewhat over the years, but we are back and throughly enjoy the new features. It would be nice to change the sounds and voices with a simple link in the actual app. <br/>Keep up the good work! 😎
The app is fine but everytime I click out it it logs me off and I have to keep signing in.
I recently reloaded AIM on my phone so I can secretly chat with friends while we're all at our desk jobs. It's great, low key and an excellent way to stay in touch.
Why can I not rate this a "Zero star"? Paid $2.99 for this app to communicate with friends and family. It doesn't let me send instant messages or receive them. I want my money back! Do not download!
No notification reply
It's great when it works, but it's somewhat buggy. Once in a while, I won't get a notification that I have a message, and when I do it doesn't always load. In addition, when I go to a long chat history under one chat, it takes forever to load, and it keeps jumping to random parts of the chat history that I've hours, sometimes days earlier. Clearing the chat history with that person does not work because it all comes back anyway. Landscaping the app in chat is also bothersome as it does the same jumping thing. Good app, just needs some tweaking.
When picking the sounds for Aim to make when receiving IMs in the profile sections you can't hear the preview. I can hear them when I receive a message though. Using iPhone 5s with 8.0.2. ATT
