Dark Mode

by CatFromSeattle · May 13, 2023

Modern problems require modern solutions. I would really appreciate a dark mode for reading. I spend all day looking at a monitor, I’d prefer to read the paper rag but alas, my off-time includes contact napping with my bebe; I want to use my phone/New Yorker for reading during my babies nap or when I’m decompressing and don’t have a copy on me but I avoid it bc screen is too bright.

Always intelligent

Each issue has a number of engaging articles, well written and diverse.

Cartoon viewing

So far, I like this, the older “The New Yorker Print” app better than the new app they’re encouraging me to switch over to. <br/><br/>It works better for viewing the cartoons. In the newer app, I’m unable to zoom in on cartoons, so see the detail better (unlike illustrations, which I am able to zoom in on.)

Great writing

Always enjoy

But US Post Office lost my Feb 17-Feb 24 centennial issue. I need a new copy. Can I get it?

Why?

It’s the magazine, but yet it’s not. Why did you change it and can you revert?

On line version has gotten worse

It used to be that the IOS versions mirrored the print version. No longer! It is impossible to read now in anything like the conventional way, and even mysterious how we navigate. Index delivers a different order from scrolling. What gives?

Almost as good as print…

…and a lot more travel-friendly!
