Beware...Have to buy multiple times!

by Looking to Rent · June 12, 2017

I like this app BUT you have to buy it for each device. So I have it on my iPad but would have to buy it again for $5 for my iPhone. My husband has an android. So I would have to buy it again for us to share a shopping list in real time. No way! Still I give the app 3 stars because it is organized well and great for adding recipes off of websites. Just wish I could have it on multiple devices without spending $15.

TEN STARS!

If I could give this app 10 stars, I would. I love it. I use it every day. Planning meals and making grocery lists was such a pain before, so I often just didn't. Now I browse the app, see something that looks good, choose the grocery list icon and I'm set. I love that when I am out and about, I can say, "I need to get something for dinner" and I can choose something on the spot. The app provides the grocery list for me.
The other thing I love is how easy it is to save recipes from the Internet. I also love how easy it is to scale recipes. This is the best app I have ever purchased. I'm usually pretty cheap when it comes to paying for apps. I'm so glad I got this. I got it for my iPad, iPhone and PC. It seamlessly syncs between them. I use my iPad when cooking and my iPhone when shopping and my PC when I want to type in a recipe myself. If you get this app, you will not be sorry. Oh, and I recommended this to someone who then got it. I love that I can send her recipes and they load right into her app. By the way, I found out about this app from a Facebook group: "Instant Pot Community." It is very popular with that huge Facebook group.

One of my core iPad apps

Apps come and go - I delete some to make room for others, get tired of some, etc. This app I will never delete.

It is everything I want from a recipe app. If I come across a recipe on the web, I can send it to Paprika. I can browse directly from Paprika to find new apps from anywhere, and it automates the saving of recipes nicely.

The app even contains several printing options which we use quite often when my daughters are cooking something.

I've tried many apps and this is IT.

Like to Cook or Not

This app is wonderful. I hate math and when I need to quadruple a recipe, YUH. The app does it for you!!!! Thank you so much. Also all those sheets of paper and torn out pages of magazines that were stuffed in a kitchen draw.....GONE.

Shouldn't have to buy over and over

This is indeed a great app that a friend turned me onto, and my only criticism thus far is that they make you buy for each device! So if you want to sync between an iPad, iPhone, and say, a desktop computer, the app really costs $15. Deceptive pricing...

Nearly THE perfect grocery list and cooking app but...

The only two things that should be on the next update I suggest should be:

1. Allow a completely customizable pantry list, just as the recipe can be added with any custom ingredients( I.e. Aloe). Just the freedom to be able to add ANY ingredients we want should be made available for our pantry list.

2. Our pantry list should have an " AMOUNT" section. Say for instance I have 2 Avocados in my pantry. If I add a few recipes to my grocery shopping list that could total more than the two avocados I should maybe be notified or the amounts should adjust accordingly.

That being said, so far the app has been a SERIOUS time and money saver.

Simple and powerful

The iOS app is one of the most well written and easy to use recipe managers. I use it with the Mac OS app and they sync all the recipes and keep them up to date. The scaling is easy to use and the way it grabs the info and photo off a web page is amazing. Really. It works the way a modern computer program should work. I use it mostly when browsing recipes in Safari, see something I want to try, and grab it with Paprika. Really, really impressive. I have used many recipe programs in the past on both Mac and iOS, but this is great.

The fact that it has a grocery list generator is just an extra plus.

So great! I have it for phone and desktop!

This is such a time saving, well organized app. Wish I could add more photos.
