Hard to recommend.

The Benoit Sokal art is absolutely fantastic. That is the only real redeeming quality here. Music, while nice, is sparse. Puzzles amount to simple object interaction and text clues. There was a good reason this 12-year-old title never made it out of France, and at $15 it should have stayed there.

Awesome game

Great game! I got it when it was free but I bought the other 2 episodes. Neat storyline though I do agree that it is kinda dark. It's for sure a must buy!

Not worth it

It took a while to download and so short

Wow, this is bad!

Really cheesy. Benoit Sokal? Really? This game requires no brains. Just tap the green arrow and keep walking. Waste of .99 cents. Too short and no fun. DO NOT BUY !

Excellent adventure game

without gimmicks. It's of medium difficulty which suited me fine. The story was good, the graphics even better. The 360 degree view creates a sense of reality. If you like exploring and problem-solving a world very similar to ours but with fictional flora and fauna, you will enjoy this game.
If you like this type of game but would prefer more difficulty, check out "Dracula: Resurection," and the even more challenging "Dracula: the Path of the Dragon."
P.S. I played this on an iPod, and there were no glitches.

This game wants to be Myst

This game was obviously designed with Myst in mind. The gameplay is nearly identical, but Amerzone fails to live up to its ambitions. I read that it was $5 an episode originally; this would be a massive ripoff. But at $0.99 an episode, it's probably worth it. Episode one isn't bad, but the other two are lacking. The puzzles are also weak, and primarily based on hunting around for items that can be picked up. Also, the graphics are extremely blurry on retina devices, so be warned.

Ssoooooooo goooooood!

Not bad but too short

Storyline is not bad but there is no reason to read any of the documents found or study any of the objects. For $5 you get about three puzzles, 30mins gameplay and in some areas not high resolution graphics.
I won't buy part 2 and 3 which is too bad.
