Movies 2.6

by Hwedhlor · August 7, 2013

I reviewed version 2.2.1 three years ago (see below) and I note that there has been little change in the app since then. Still no indication of media in the movie list screen. Sometimes when I enter a barcode manually Movies sometimes finds the right movie, but enters the title in Spanish, and though I can edit the title for list display, the display of movie detail retains the Spanish entry across the top of the screen. If I enter a movie manually, and look at the suggested cover art the images are tiny. Entering a movie manually does not trigger a search for details, which must be entered manually. Sometimes the app simply shunts me out without doing anything. Not much to write home about as it's a lot of work to use this program and it's in need of an overhaul.

Version 2.2.1 review - 5 July, 2010 - This application is a good way to keep track of movies in a collection, and the app continues to improve.

It would be nice if the list display could include both the year the movie was released and the media format. There's plenty of room for that under the movie title.

Viewing the movie covers in landscape mode looks good, but takes forever to load the images.

New Update Fixes Barcode Scanning Issue

by Grindmonkey · January 6, 2012

I, too, was having the issue of app crashing after scanning just one barcode. But now the problem seems to be resolved. Regardless of the problem, I still thought this app rocked. Now it is even better.

Let down

I downloaded this app thinking it was like delicious library for the Mac. It only allows you to scan barcodes or manually enter the movie details. Delicious library syncs with iTunes and imports all the posters and has an up to date database. I basically have to start from scratch with the waste of app.

Awful app! Does not work!

by Georgiaaaa · January 3, 2012

I was really excited for this and took a chance in spite of the bad reviews. Barcode scanner does not work, app crashes every time I try to use it or the camera wont focus on the barcode and than it will die. Even though it was cheap it was still a waste of money!

Does not do barcodes

Updated and it does not work. Can't search online and I even lost all my movies. Crashes when you try to restore from Dropbox. Please fix!!!
