Does not work, is nothing like the well known XBMC remote for the IPhone.
Should ban this app from the store and refund people's money as this is simply a scam.
I just lost 6 bucks for nothing

Nothing works

No Music

by Koensayr · August 26, 2010

After emailing the developers and offering to beta test music support, giving them my UDID, I heard nothing even thug the promised support for that. Seems not in this update... Thatsqid the new interface is slick, and the movie functionality works nicely. It's much nicer then the iPhone based app even for dealing with movies. When they add music support, I'd easily give this 4 or 5 stars. I want to see quicker updates as well.

Total crap!!!!!

Should have listened to the rest of the people here and not bought this app. Complete waste of money.

Settings screen only asks for ip and port. No spot for password? How is it supposed to get in?

I set my settings only to see it saying that it doesn't find any movies.

I'm guessing that you have to have all your movies on the same PC as XBMC in the designated movies folder for xbmc and then this app does all the scraping to IMDB. This does not appear to be an app that simply allows you to view your already existing xbmc library in the slick format on the screenshots as one might expect.

Don't be fooled by the eye candy.

If you're like me and keep all your movies on a shared drive that xbmc accesses, you're SOL. This will not work for you! (or anyone else probably)

The remote is also lame and didn't work. Do yourself a favor and get one of the iPhone xbmc remotes. Doesn't look as slick but at least it actually does something.

If you buy this app, contact me... I also have a bridge in London I'd like to sell you. ;-)

reply

Great concept, Poor Delivery. Serious XBMC users, pass on this one.

I had looked at this app several times however stayed clear due to the poor rating. Given there were only 8 reviews I thought it might be worth taking a chance on. Possibly only 8 people downloaded and did not like the product. That was a $6 mistake! The app does launch. Cover art is painfully slow to download for display via a cover flow like interface. The instructions which display across the bottom of the screen are cut off so you can't actually follow them when there is a problem. For those of you controlling multiple XBMC systems in your home, this appears to only work with one system. The app itself locks up quite often and must be closed down. Switching between landscape and portrait by rotating your device (in my case iPad) produces a fairly long delay when the cover art is downloading. The remote function, simulates an Apple remote which is simply too limited and only offers play/pause/forward/back. No ability to move from the cover flow like interface to a bookshelf type listing. Option of themes would be a nice addition to mimic the XBMC default theme. I had high hopes for this product however was let down. I hate to say it but consider the low res XBMC remote and just click the x2 button on your iPad for full screen. I hope this product matures over time.

This doesn't work!

I have no idea how this application is in the iTunes store. I installed it, ran it, and it kept crashing with every touch I did. The application doesn't work. I wish I would have read the reviews before spending the money. Please remove this from the store!
