Blank screen

by femldr · February 7, 2015

Introduction video is a blank screen . ( Playing on IPad air)
Update! many bugs throughout game. Scenes with no art... pink solid color where building or tree should be. Have to keep restarting where places freeze . It is a good game but my suggestion is to NOT purchase the game until you see an update and fix. ending is blank screen also. Hopefully Microids is working on a fix.

Either that, or "Two monks on 'shrooms"

A very convoluted and nightmarish storyline. A very dark protagonist. Gotta love the combination!

It seems that what frustrates or irritates other people about a game is what I find fascinating. Nicolas Eymerich is such a pompous, misogynistic, germaphobic fill-in-the-blank, yet he is so intelligent and downright Machiavellian that the story keeps its intrigue. There is a strong underlying pull of either science...geology...or maybe fantasy...or is it sci-fi? I could see the story easily going any of these ways. I'm kind of sad I don't read Italian, or I would pick up the book.

There are major technical issues, which is why I cannot give this game five stars. There are multiple areas where there is text, but no audible dialogue. This is upsetting, given that some of the banter is hilarious. There was a scene with an incredible flying "I don't want to die" woman. In one scene, a flaw where an action did not progress kept me from continuing, but restarting the game resolved this (I would recommend saving often and restarting the game if there is an issue). Also, as mentioned, some of the videos have issues. In my case, I could not see the ending; just a blank screen.

In all, I was quite impressed by the content and length of this sequel, though I sorely missed the bizarre Easter eggs of the first game (particularly the chicken).
